Summertime Enjoyed at Grafton Common

Lynn Jolicoeur and the Pulse performed the second in this year's Grafton Concerts on the Common series.

Summertime was both heard and felt at the Grafton Common on Wednesday night.

Lynn Jolicoeur and the Pulse performed "Summertime" during the second in this year's Grafton Concerts on the Common series.

Jolicoeur said "Summertime," from the opera "Porgy and Bess," was "a perfectly fitting song" for the season.

She opened the concert by telling the audience she hoped it would "enjoy this beautiful summer night."

The band opened with "Ain't No Mountain High Enough."

The Beatles For Sale tribute band opened the concert series last Wednesday night.

Admission is free to the shows, which start at 7 p.m., according to the Grafton Recreation Department's Summer 2013 brochure. Rain would move the concert into the Grafton Middle School auditorium.
