ReplyHe FINALLY admits that he DID in fact tamper with an entire community's water testing (you know, testing that is done for the SAFETY of thousands of children, adults and elderly) for what he thought "would solve everything" and he gets probation and community service???? UGHHHHHHHHHHHH

ReplyMy daughter attended this last night. She "LOVES" the teacher and said "all my stress" is gone. "She was so relaxing and she helped me learn the poses. We laughed a lot too." She woke up this morning saying she had the best sleep "of her life". Worth every penny the first night!

On the article Energy Drinks Under Scrutiny: Time to Regulate Caffeine Amounts?

ReplyTaurine is an amino acid found in animal product. However, in these drinks, it is usually made synthetically from 2-hydroxyethanesulfonic acid. One study in 2001 by Baum and Weiss revealed a difference in the heart muscles when mixing Taurine with caffeine documenting an increase in stroke volume (amount of blood pumped with each beat) and diastolic intake (ventricular filling) in young athletes compared to those in the placebo group. It is believed Ross Cooney, an 18 year old British basketball player, died this way. (http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/releases/5753.php). FDA considers a dose of less than 1,000 mg/day per kilogram safe. Many European governments have banned the drinks due to potential risks.Sure there are a bunch of things our government should be putting their energy toward (including debt, etc) but the health and safety or our children should be a MUST and in my opinion they don't put near enough energy, time or efforts into ensuring products on our shelves are safe. Really feel they should not be on the market. Check out the column I wrote last year about these drinks.

ReplyNeighbor - There is a bit of difference in the Caffeine dosing between coffee and energy drinks. Caffeine tends to be 240-600mg if not sticking to serving sizes because if you read a Monster or Redbull can they are 2-2.5 servings and I don't see the teens leaving Charile's or Tedeschi's sharing their cans w/ friends (compared to coffee = 80-160)
Caffeine consumption among teens has increased Hospital visits in the U.S. with complaints of heart palpitations, dizziness, and nausea. In 2009, U.S. emergency rooms treated almost 10 times more cases of reactions to beverages such as Monster and Rockstar than they did in 2005 (U.S. Government report)
Monster is potentially linked to 5 deaths – including one of a 14 year old girl who died of a heart attack after drinking 2 cans.

ReplySizes are as follows:
Mom: XL or 1X top, 14-16 petite pant
Husb: XL polo type shirts - unsure of pants as "just lost weight"
17 yr old girl: XL top - varies
11 yr old boy: 14-16 elastic waist pants, Adult small top
Any g.c.'s for take out, groceries, clothing, shower/beauty supplies, shoes, school & sports stuff would help them with supplies right now. -

ReplyIf you are interested in donating clothing - the mother gave me sizes - or you can donate gift certificates for Kohls and Target for clothing, shoes, notebooks, backpacks, etc or Sports authority (to replace lost equipment for kids sports).

ReplySizes: Mother: 1XL shirt, 14-16 "short" pants. Father: XL polo type shirts - hard to fit bottoms due to recent weight loss. 17 yr old girl: XL top - unsure of pant size at this time. 11 yr old boy: 14-16 elastic short waist pants, Adult small tops. They lost everything - son is in various sports and needs to replace all sports equipment: Sports Authority G.C.'s would help. Kohls & Target G.C.'s for clothing preferred.

And why did he not "remember" adding CHLORINE to water samples going to A STATE LAB "for some time after" ?!?! Likely story. Hope he "remembers" he has probation & community service!
