Patch Picture of the Week Contest

WINNER: Thanksgiving Photo Contest

For nearly a week, Patch readers have been uploading photos. We've crowned our winner.

In our photo contest this week, readers from all over the region shared with us photos that illustrate Thanksgiving.  But we could only choose one. All photos uploaded before 6 p.m. yesterday were under consideration to be crowned the winner in Patch's Picture of the Week Contest. After deliberating, we had to go with Nicole McKay's photo, as shown above.  Congratulations, Nicole, and thank you to all those who participated! Please continue to share your photos with us, either through our blogging platform or by uploading to your local Patch site's Pics and Clips gallery. Nicole, we'll be emailing you so we can make arrangements to get you your $25 gift card. Return to Patch tomorrow, when you can start uploading pictures for our next …

Photos must be uploaded by 6 p.m. Eastern Time on Monday, Nov. 26. You may enter as many photos as you'd like. If you like a particular photo, voice your support for it in the comments. The winner, chosen by Patch editors, will be announced on Tuesday, Nov. 27. Eligibility is limited to legal residents …

What's Open/Closed on Thanksgiving?

Peruse our handy list of what's open and closed for the holiday, and if you know of a place we've missed, add it in the comments.

Happy Thanksgiving! Because of the holiday, it won't be business as usual in Grafton—but there are still some places open should you need to grab a cup of coffee or something at the convenience store. We've compiled a list of what's open and what's closed. If we've missed anything, please add it in the comments. What's Closed? What's Open?

5 Things For Which We're Thankful

From our logo to our readers, I have reasons to be thankful this Thanksgiving.

My family's Thanksgiving tradition, which I'm sure many families share, is to go around the table and name at least one thing, or person, for which we're thankful. The activity doesn't always produce the most heartwarming responses; it's typical for at least one wise-guy to smirk and say something along the lines of, "I'm thankful Danielle didn't cook the meal." As I pondered what I'll be sharing at the table today, I got to thinking that the question would be appropriate as it relates to Patch.  So, let me extend my family tradition to this virtual gathering-place, and share with you five Patch-related things that make me thankful. This is by no means an exhaustive list, as I do have …

Happy Thanksgiving!

Give thanks before digging in.

This yard on Maplewood Drive gets into the Thanksgiving spirit with an inflatable turkey.
