Grafton Man Raising 351 Drinks for Cancer Research
Todd Ruggere has raised money and tipped back a Sam Adams in 71 of the 351 Massachusetts towns to help support cancer research through Dana Farber.
By day, Todd Ruggere can be found sitting at his desk in an office building, where he works in mutual funds. By night, though, he can be found anywhere across the state enjoying a Sam Adams beer and raising money for children’s cancer in Boston. “I see all of the commercials before movies where it shows the kids with cancer looking out windows and seeing people writing messages,” Ruggere said. “It’s always gotten to me and I’ve always wanted to help them along like that.” The Grafton resident is a big fan of Sam Adams, it came easily for him to add his love of beer to the mix when he realized he couldn’t name even half of the towns in Massachusetts.
