Missing Grafton Teen Found Safe in Waltham

Julia Lomberto had last been seen Jan. 29.

A 15-year-old Grafton girl who had been reported missing was located Thursday afternoon in Waltham, Grafton police confirmed. Julia Lomberto was picked up by Waltham Police, who followed up on tips she was in their town.  According to Julia's father, Tim Lomberto, the state Department of Children and Families called him this afternoon to let him know that Julia had been found with a friend in a housing complex in Waltham. She was taken to the Waltham Police Department and was waiting to get picked up by DCF, he said. Grafton police put out a notice Wednesday afternoon, seeking the public's help in finding Julia, who was last seen Jan. 29 with a friend in Worcester. The friend was found but Julia was not. Grafton Teen Still Missing; Could be in Waltham or Somerville

Julia Lomberto was last seen Jan. 29.

Grafton teen Julia Rose Lomberto is still missing. Chief Normand A. Crepeau said Thursday morning it is still believed she could be in the Waltham or Somerville area. Waltham Police Officer Kristen Tracey, the high school resource officer in Waltham, tweeted that Lomberto's grandparents live in Waltham and she has previously said she wanted to return to Waltham.  Julia is 15 years old, and described as 5 feet, 4 inches tall, with blue eyes and dark long hair. She weighs 130 pounds and has an athletic build. She has four piercings and possibly facial acne. Police on Wednesday put out a notice that she was missing. Lomberto left Grafton High School at 2:20 p.m. on Jan. 29 and took a taxi, with a friend, to Vernon Street in Worcester, …
