The National Weather Service has announced a hazardous weather alert that includes an elevated fire weather potential.

Fires are only allowed after 10 a.m. and must be extinguished by 4 p.m., if weather conditions permit burning at all. The burning season begins Jan. 15 and ends May 1. …

He lives across the street from the first house that caught fire and adjacent to the second house. I'm not saying that he did have anything to do with it, but it is suspicious.   more ›

'They did nothing but give unconditional love,' an anguished homeowner said of his two dogs and a cat, which were killed in a fire.

Bob and Kathy Benoit lost virtually every valuable they owned when their home at 23 Countryside Rd. was destroyed Jan. 13 in a raging fire. But they are most anguished about three treasures they lost that they consider priceless: their two shih tzu dogs, siblings Emmie and Benji, and their cat, Grey.
