Junior High, Intermediate School Named
Committee members approve names for new schools.
The School Committee named the town's new schools the Grafton Junior High School and Grafton Intermediate School. Grades 5 and 6 will be known as Grafton Intermediate School. Grades 7 and 8 students will attend Grafton Junior High School. The new names were required because of the change in grade configurations after the new Grafton High School opens September 2012. The Grafton Junior High will be located at the current Grafton High School. Grafton Intermediate School will be the new name for the current Grafton Middle School, which will now house only two grades. Public input had been sought for the new names via the school district website.
