New Deli Replacing Branded Bear

Bushel N' Peck will be on Route 140 in Grafton Center.

The former location of Branded Bear Deli has stood vacant on Route 140 since August, but now a new sign has appeared in the parking lot. The sign for Bushel N' Peck says they will have catering, a deli and sandwiches. Work on the interior of the building is underway, and the phone number listed on the sign is not connected, but progress is being made toward opening the new restaurant. What do you hope to see at Bushel N' Peck? Do you want another deli/cafe or were you hoping for something different?

I love this place. When I worked in Worcester, we'd order frequently from the BnP there. Their sandwiches and salads are amazing and they have a great variety. With all the work that's going on in there, it's more than just a deli!   more ›

Branded Bear Deli Closes

The locally owned business has shuttered its doors.

The Branded Bear Deli has closed after four-and-a-half years in business under the current owner, a sign on the Worcester Street establishment reads. The breakfast and lunch spot, known for its "bearwiches" and $1 cups of coffee, closed for good at 2 p.m. Friday. A close-out sale was held Sunday. "Thank you for your 4 1/2 years of patronage," the sign reads. The deli opened under new management in 2007. Reasons for the closure were not immediately available. In July, Branded Bear passed its health inspection, earning praise from the town's health agent.
