Grafton Man's Fundraising Beer Tour Ends

Todd Ruggere had a beer in 351 cities and towns, and raised money for the Jimmy Fund.

Grafton resident Todd Ruggere on Monday night achieved his goal of having a Samuel Adams beer in every Massachusetts city and town.

Ruggere, who set out in January to drink a beer in all 351 cities and towns while raising money for the Jimmy Fund, had his last beer Monday in Jamaica Plain, with Samuel Adams Brewer and Founder, Jim Koch

Ruggere raised more than $40,000 for the Jimmy Fund's pediatric cancer programs.

“I see all of the commercials before movies where it shows the kids with cancer looking out windows and seeing people writing messages,” Ruggere said in an early 2013 interview with Patch. “It’s always gotten to me and I’ve always wanted to help them along like that.”

Ruggere's blog can be found by visiting 351beers.tumblr.com. His twitter account is @351SamChallenge and his Facebook page is Mass Beertour.
