School Lunch Prices Get Slight Raise

The new prices are $2.50 for elementary lunches, and $2.75 for middle school and high school lunches.

A Grafton elementary school lunch will cost 5 cents more for the next school year.

And Grafton Middle School and Grafton High School students face a 10-cent increase in lunch prices.

The price increases are necessary for Grafton to meet a federal requirement prices be "equal or higher than the reimbursement rate" of $2.59, "based on a weighted average," district Director of Finance Terry Tracy told the school committee Monday night.

The school board approved the new prices: $2.50 for elementary lunches, and $2.75 for middle school and high school lunches.
