GEA Awards Scholarships

Two local students are honored.

The Grafton Education Alliance has awarded scholarships to two local 2012 graduates.

Robert Praderio of and McKenzie Dion of Whitinsville Christian School each received a $500 scholarship.

The alliance awards scholarships annually to graduating seniors from Grafton who have shown commitment to their education and have great potential to be lifelong learners who will remember to give back to their community. The Scholarship Committee uses a blind selection process.

According to Robin Conkey, chairman of the Scholarship Committee, “We were challenged again this year in making our decision. Grafton students shared personal achievements and interesting reflections on their experiences as students and members of the community. The GEA is happy to contribute to our community in a meaningful way. We wish the recipients and all of the applicants success in their future endeavors.”

The GEA thanks these Scholarship Committee members for all of their hard work: Joan Beaudoin, Doug Broad, Jen Bogess, Robin Conkey, Teresa Johnston, Andy Ogilvie and Bruce Spinney.
