The bill to designate the local favorite as the official sandwich of the commonwealth was advanced Tuesday by a voice vote during an informal session of the House of Representatives, the Associated Press is reporting.The bill was filed by former Revere State Rep. Kathi-Anne Reinstein
A Fluffernutter is a peanut butter and Fluff sandwich. Fluff was invented in Somerville, MA in 1917 by Archibald Query right in Somerville’s Union Square.
Last September the local lunchtime favorite made Zagat’s list of 50 Sandwiches, 50 States, which breaks down unique regional sandwiches across the country.
