PJ Library 5th Birthday Celebration - Kids' Party

On December 8, children from
across Central Massachusetts will sing “Happy Birthday” to the PJ Library at a
party celebrating the program’s five years of bringing Jewish-themed books and
other media to children across the region.
The party is free and open to the public.  To RSVP, please contact Mindy Hall at mhall@jfcm.org.

PJ Library is a Jewish national
literacy project that is managed locally by the Jewish Federation of Central
Mass and funded by the Harold N. Cotton Memorial Fund.  Each month, more than 225 children within the
region, ages 6 months to 6-1/2 years, who are part of a family where one parent
or grandparent is of the Jewish faith, receive an age-appropriate Jewish
children’s book or CD in the mail.  The
program aims to encourage literacy as well as cultural identity in children
with any connection to Judaism.    The
December 8 birthday party will celebrate the program’s successes and mark the
fifth anniversary of PJ Library’s launch in Central Massachusetts.
