Grafton Heads to the Polls

Town election held on Tuesday, May 20.

Residents of the town of Grafton will head to the polls on Tuesday to decide who should lead their community in various town offices.

Five people are running for two seats on the Board of Selectmen: Lisa Brovelli Kelley, Robert Nault, Richard Schultze, Bruce Spinney III, and Jennifer Thomas.

Three people are running for two Board of Library Trustees seats: Gary Beauchamp, Michelle Dalal, and Cynthia Zarriello.

Linda Hassinger and James Walsh III are also running for a single Planning Board seat.

Other candidates running for moderator, housing authority, and School Committee seats are uncontested.

Polls are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Voters in Precincts 1, 2, and 3, will vote at the Grafton Middle School gym on 22 Providence Road; Precincts 4 and 5, will vote at the Millbury Street Elementary School gym on 105 Millbury St. (note the special traffic pattern at this location).

Last week, Town Meeting approved of a $3.5 million Proposition 2 1/2 override for school funding and road repairs. The vote for the special election will be held on June 14.
