North Grafton's First Full-Day Kindergarteners Enter First Grade
The first day of school for Grafton students in pre-Kindergarten to grade nine is Sept. 3.
North Grafton Elementary School has full-day Kindergarten for the second straight year, Principal Brenda Plainte notes.
The incoming first grade class especially bears watching this year, for that reason.
"I think what's most important for us this year is first grade. Because our Kindergarteners are coming in as readers now, having had full-day K," said Plainte, in her third year as NGES principal.
"We can really hit the ground running with them as readers, which means they're just that much more independent."
The first day of school for Grafton students in pre-Kindergarten to grade nine is Sept. 3.
"I'm looking forward to spending a lot of time in classrooms, engaged with teachers and kids, learning," Plainte said.
