'Weird Al' Flanked by Grafton High Alumni

Brett Warwick and Brian Warwick can be seen marching with the members of Yankovic's band and the Riverside City College marching band.

“Weird Al” Yankovic has been a household name since 1983, and on July 18, he released a video for his song, "Sports Song," on FunnyOrDie.com that features two Grafton High School alumni.

Brothers, Brett Warwick, class of 1996, and Brian Warwick, class of 2000, can be seen on either side of the popular parody artist while marching with the members of Yankovic’s band and the Riverside City College marching band. The video was the fifth in eight videos that were released by Yankovic promoting his 14th album Mandatory Fun that was number one on iTunes and Amazon last week.

Brian Warwick has been an audio engineer for Weird Al since 2006 and jumped at the chance to be a part of the project. When another actor was needed, he could only think of his brother Brett who is actor, playwright, and musician in New York City. Brett and Brian have been fans of Yankovic for 30 years. So much so that as boys Brett was an official member of The Close Personal Friends of Al (Yankovic’s fan club) and Brian’s first cassette tape was Weird Al’s 1985 release Dare To Be Stupid.

The Warwick brothers have only marched together once before in the 1996 Memorial Day Parade in Grafton under the direction of current GHS music teacher Stephen Trombley. They attribute their marching skills to the teacher and appreciate Trombley’s encouragement with their musical endeavors.
