The National Sandy Hook Sympathy Card: Have You Signed It?

If you're like most, you've received countless invitations on your Facebook page.

While posts on Twitter and Facebook are predominantly, and understandably, focused on the mass murder at the Sandy Hook Elementary School on Friday, perhaps the most viral is the "PETITION: SIGN the Sandy Hook Elementary School National Sympathy Card."

Surely you've gotten more than one "your voice will make a difference" and link to the petition on your Facebook page.

As reported on the cause's page, in less than 48 hours, 1,000,000 had signed the card, and it had been shared more than a million times.

The "cause" post serves as both a sympathy card and petition, which will be delivered to Newtown, CT.

The card reads, in part, "Our Sincere Condolences. We wish to express our deepest sympathies to all of the families of those lost, to the survivors and their families, and to the others impacted by the senseless and unthinkable tragedy that unfolded at Sandy Hook Elementary School. We cannot begin to comprehend the depth of your sadness and grief. Please know that we care deeply for you and we join with you in sharing your sorrow and pain. We only hope that you receive some measure of comfort in the knowledge that we, and an entire nation, stand with you during this extraordinarily difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you."

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. May the Lord be with you and help your heart heal. Heaven has new precious angels! The world has come together in what has been a horrible crime, you are not alone and may you forever walk in Gods grace. We will never understand these acts of evil but never doubt Gods reason. Those precious innocent children, the adults and all the families that have suffered will never be forgotten.
