Saturday Morning Children's Programs on Grafton Community Television

GRAFTON:  Grafton Community Television now features a full lineup of children's programming on Saturday mornings on Charter Channel 11 / Verizon Channel 34.

The broadcast schedule can be found at the Grafton Community Television website www.GraftonTV.org at the "program schedule" link and on the GCTV Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/graftontv.

Here are the GCTV Saturday morning programs along with brief descriptions:

Heartwings Place   7:30 AM
GCTV’s Tasha Halpert hosts this fun show for the kids - includes songs, stories, nature, food and crafts segments!

Bee Bear Book Club  8:00 AM
Bee Bear Book Club is an interactive children's literacy club that is produced in conjunction with Brookline's Early Education Program.

Drawing With Mark
     8:30 AM
A simple, old-fashioned half hour TV show, aimed at children from ages 5 to 12, that teaches kids how to draw. Takes viewers through the drawing process step by step. “All you need is some paper, crayon or pencil, and your imagination."

Storytellers
       9:00 AM
GCTV's new series with story readers from the Grafton Public Library

Reading Aloud With Judith McConnell  9:30 AM
Each episode is a different story by renown children’s author Beatrix Potter read by Judith McConnell, who has been reading aloud in public schools for over 30 years. The program cuts between footage of Mrs. McConnell reading aloud and the illustrations in the book.

Lil' Iguana  10:00 AM
A series of programs on child safety produced by the Lil' Iguana Child Safety Foundation of Nashua.

I Can Be Me  10:30 AM
A series of half hour children's shows feature music, story telling and fun activities for kids in the 5-10 year age group. Jennifer Armstrong is a professional musician and story teller who is the creator and host of this series.

Classic Superman  11:00 AM
"It's a bird..It's a plane.. it's - The Classic Adventures of Superman!" A series of ten minute shorts featuring everyone's favorite superhero.

Culinary Kids
11:30 AM
Join Avery, a middle-school student and gifted cook/baker as she makes recipes and gives tips and techniques useful to both beginner and advanced cooks

According to GCTV Lead Access Assistant Bob DeToma, "The Saturday morning program lineup is educational, entertaining and, with the addition of Superman, a little bit exciting."

Grafton Community Television provides programming on three distinct public access channels in the Town of Grafton over the Charter Communications and the Verizon cable systems. Monthly schedules for Grafton Community Television Channels can be found at www.GraftonTV.org. Charter Channel 11/Verizon Channel 34 provides general interest programming, Charter Channel 12/Verizon Channel 33 broadcasts town government programming, and Charter Channel 13 /Verizon Channel 32 features school programming and high school sports events. The Grafton Community Television studios and offices are located at 296 Providence Road in South Grafton.
