UPDATED: Wind Leaves 1,000+ Without Power
National Grid customers were reporting outages throughout town; Grafton appears to be one of the hardest hit towns in the region by the wind storm.
Updated, 2:30 p.m.: Fewer than 60 Grafton customers remained without power as of mid-day Thursday.
Original story: Wednesday night's and Thursday morning's high winds caused power outages in scattered pockets throughout town.
Were you affected? National Grid's outage map is noting that 1,297 customers were without power across Grafton, as of 8:30 a.m.
Streets without power in some sections include Adams Road, Pleasant Street, Brigham Hill Road and Providence Road.
Grafton appears to be among the hardest-hit towns in Central Massachusetts in terms of electricity outages: Millbury and Oxford also had more than 1,000 affected, but most surrounding towns were in the low hundreds. National Grid had not provided restoration estimates as of 8:45 a.m. Thursday.
A high wind warning (sustained winds of 40 mph) was predicted to remain in effect until 9 a.m. Scattered showers are expected mainly before 4 a.m.; and the temperature should fall to around 42 degrees by 5 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. It'll still be windy, but gusts should fall between the 20 and 30 mph range.
Tell us in the comments if you've lost power, or if it has returned. Also: did the wind cause any damage to your property or neighborhood?

The two outage areas in your picture are listed as 1900 or so before considering anything else. Now, six hours after the outages were reported there is still no sign of any activity here - on the web or here on the ground. The web app shows crews working elsewhere on much smaller outages.

Bob and Dominque, are you still out? Early this afternoon, National Grid noted that there were still about 60 without power.
