What Piece of Technology Could You Not Live Without?

Alexander Graham Bell filed a patent application with the U.S. Patent Office on this day in 1876. What one piece of technology could you not live without?

Alexander Graham Bell filed a patent application for the telephone 137 years ago today.

Since that time there have been many advances in not just the telephone (rotary dialing, anyone?), but in many forms of technology.

From large, flat screen HD TVs, IPads, the various apps you can purchase for your laptops and the many different models of smart phones that are available for you to do just about anything, anywhere, there have been technological advances happening all around us and we have grown to rely on technology for just about everything.

But what if you had to give up some of the technology that you use so often and have come to rely upon? What if there was a piece of technology that you were told you could no longer use? Which pieces of technology would you be able to go without? What piece of technology could you absolutely not live without? Tell us in the comments section below.

It seems weird to me that telephones haven't always been around. Although I do remember the days when you used to only dial seven digits to make a call.

Sean, I also remember this. I remember what a pain it was to dial the area code haha. Honestly, I could go without iPads, iPods, and even a laptop because my phone takes care of all of that. Heck, I'm typing this on my phone. Job doesn't require a computer yet so I'm good with my phone.
