Shear Entertainment at Alpaca Farm, Willard

Events are scheduled Saturday at both locations.

The and Angel Hair Alpacas invite you and the community to the Shearing Day Festival on Saturday, June 2. 

The farm will be open for tours in the morning from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Then the shearer will arrive to work on the alpacas until they are all done. The farm store will be open throughout the day.  

Events at the Willard House will also start at 11 a.m., featuring demonstrations of important spring household activities typical of life in the 1700's. Artisans will demonstrate spinning and weaving arts.

For children there will be free period games on the museum lawn, storytelling and crafts. There will be a special tour of the museum emphasizing the household theme for a special reduced admissions rate. A felting craft featuring alpaca fleece will be available. 

There will be Celtic music on the lawn from 1 to 3 p.m. Food will be available for purchase at the museum.

Parking for both locations will be at the Willard House and Clock Museum, 11 Willard St., North Grafton. Limited parking will be available at Angel Hair Alpacas for visitors with mobility challenges. Please be aware that the Alpaca Farm may have difficult terrain for some people with challenges.  

This event is rain or shine. Volunteers are still welcome to assist the event either at the Willard House or the Alpaca Farm. Please call (508) 839-9856 if you can help for the day or a few hours.
