Grafton Resident First Woman to Finish Westborough Triathlon

There were 329 people, including Sen. Scott Brown, who completed the race.

 

North Grafton resident Lori Muir was the overall female winner of Sunday's 3rd Annual Westborough Sprint Triathlon, according to the official race results.

Muir finished with a time of 1:17:57, according to coolrunning.com.

Hopkinton resident Steve Levandosky won overall, with a total time of 1:02:15.

The competition started with a quarter-mile swim in Lake Chauncy, followed by a 14-mile bike race and a 3-mile run. There were 329 people who completed the event.

U.S. Sen. Scott Brown (R-Wrentham) finished 23rd, in a time of 1:12:24.

The Rotary Club of Westborough and Sun Multisport Events presented the event.

The proceeds will benefit the American Diabetes Association, as well as scholarships and other efforts supported by the Westborough Rotarians.
