Grafton Credit Union CEO Resigns

Ed Lopes has been the business's leader for nearly a decade.

Correction: In the original article we reported that it was not specified where Lopes would be working. That information has been updated.

After eight years of leading the Grafton Suburban Credit Union, CEO Ed Lopes has announced his resignation.

In a press release Chariman of the credit union Andrew Nelson said the board accepted Lopes resignation and wishes him the best of luck.

“Grafton Suburban will carry on without missing a beat,” Nelson said. “The Board has in place a succession plan for this kind of eventuality. While a permanent appointment is decided, CEO responsibilities will be shared by Chief Financial Officer Terry Dorilas and Chief Operating Officer Martha Dean.”

According to the release Lopes helped Grafton Suburban take advantage of technology and community integration.

“It has been a pleasure serving as CEO for Grafton Suburban for nearly a decade, and without a doubt, the outstanding feature of my Grafton experience has been the teamwork. The professionalism of the Grafton staff is second to none,” Lopes said.

Lopes will be taking a new job as CEO at Liberty Bay Credit Union of Braintree.
