Three Residents are Gone but not Forgotten

The town mourns those lost this week.

Margaret M. (Noe) Jacques, 85, passed peacefully March 23, at Beaumont Northborough. She will be remembered as an advocate for public education as well as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a lifelong Grafton resident.

Mrs. Jacques was born in Worcester on October 28, 1926 to the late Frederick and Margaret (Sullivan) Noe. Mrs. Jacques graduated from Grafton High School in 1944 and Clark University in 1948. While working at Grafton State Hospital, she met Dr. Leo C. Jacques, whom she married on October 12, 1949.

Mrs. Jacques had a fulfilling career in public education advocacy. She began as a member of the Grafton PTA and worked her way up to serving as President of the Massachusetts Association of School Committees. After serving as the Association's president, she was hired by the organization and in time became the Association's Assistant Director. She was a member of the Grafton School Committee for 24 consecutive
years and served three terms as the chairperson.

Jacques is survived by her loving husband Leo; her children, Alan R. of Knoxville Tenn., Paul F. and his wife Mary Ellen of Maynard, Carol M. Trembley and her husband Paul of Valencia Calif., David L. and his wife Lemesa of Nashville Tenn., John R and his wife Sherri of Hope Valley R.I.; her grandchildren Matthew, Benjamin, Nicholas, Jesse, Andrew, Henry and Nola Rose; a niece Roberta Howard, a nephew Hubert Jacques and a sister in law Connie Jacques all of Fla.

Memorial services have already been held.

Jennie Kaderovich, 89, passed away March 26, 2012 after a brief illness. Her husband of 55 years, Charles J. Kaderovich, passed away in 2003.

She is survived by her daughter Patricia Migala, grandson Christopher Migala and his wife Lindsay and their son Andrew, her sister Dorothy Murray and her niece Lisa Murray. Her son-in-law Scott Migala and sister Stella Gwozdz predeceased her. Jennie was born November 7, 1922 in Lowell, daughter of the late Sophie (Godek) and Stanley Gwozdz.

All are invited to calling hours for Jennie Thursday March 29th from 6 to 8pm at Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton MA 01536. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home Friday March 30th at 10:00am. She will then be laid to rest with her husband at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.

Norman W. Prout, 82, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 in
Pembroke Pines, Florida after an illness.

He is survived by his wife Yolanda (Ustamanti) Prout; a brother, Robert Prout and his wife Caroline of Grafton, MA; a sister June (Prout) French Whitney and her husband Stewart Whitney of Grafton; and several nieces and nephews. Norman was preceded in death by his former wife Esther (de la Cuesta) Prout.

He was born June 22, 1929, son of Norman and Myra (Horton) Prout. Norman graduated from Grafton High School and Coyne Electrical School in Chicago. He was a Korean War Veteran and served in Okinawa. He served on the Grafton Fire Department for several years. He worked for a Grafton electrician, Nelson Pratt, before working for the New England Telephone & Telegraph Company.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Baptist Church of Grafton located at 1 South Street, Grafton, starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2012.
