Minimal damage resulted, fire chief reported.

An overnight fire underneath acid tanks at  caused minimal damage but took time to handle because of the nature of the situation, said.

The fire itself was small, the chief said, but because of its location, firefighters flooded the area to ensure the material in the tanks did not vaporize, the chief said.

"It took us longer to set up'' than to actually knock down the fire, he said.
