"The Long and Winding Road" was one of the 6 reasons McCartney cited in a court case as reasons to break up the legal entity known as The Beatles. Phil Spector's arrangement infuriated McCartney.

...hard to believe it was less than 7 years earlier they'd appeared on the Ed Sullivan show.
