Jorge Jimenez, a junior in Mrs. Kittredge's Art II class was awarded an honorable mention in the 62nd annual Boston Globe Scholastic Art and Writing Awards competition. His artwork was among 14,000 images submitted by over 6,500 students from Massachusetts.

Submissions are juried by prominent individuals in the visual and literacy arts, some of whom are past award receipients. Panelists look for works that best exemplify originality, technical skill and the emergence of a personal voice or vision. His artwork is displayed in the main office at GHS.
